The Faces in the Crowd 44th Inaugral Parade A Photo Essay
By Kwesi McDavid-Arno

I traveled to DC for the Inauguration of the 44th President because I missed the Million Man March. After seeing the joy and adulation expressed in Harlem after the election, I felt that there would be a mass exodus of Black people to DC from around the nation. I must say that I was correct. Yes there were people of all races, colors and creeds celebrating the Inauguration. But from what I experienced and saw, it was a mass gathering of Negros from all corners of the country.

I meet people that drove from Florida, Houston, and Oklahoma. The most beautiful thing of all is that there was not one violent incident throughout the festivities.

When is it too soon to sleep with him
By C.B. Forde

This is a tricky one to answer. In fact I dont think there is an answer. When Should You Sleep With Him is an article from the January 2009 Issue of Glamour written by Penny Wrenn. I decided to give a Black Male response to this article because, with the exception of Essence and Ebony, the debate on sexuality is dominated by white women. Thus far these areonly accusations, which raises the question of why did Fitzgerald publicly announce these charges before having concrete evidence showing Blagojevich, who was under heavy surveillance, actually accepting some kind of payment for

Starting 2009 With A Bang...Literally
By Risa Dixon

Instead of celebrating a new year, which for most signifies a new beginning, Oscar Grant III came to his end. We start this new year with the same old injustice from nonother than the ones whove swore to protect and serve...the police.

The 22 year old man thought he had his whole life ahead of him, but Oakland Transit officers had other plans.

He was an unarmed young man, who posed no initial threat and only pleaded with the officers not to use a taser on him, according to reports from the New York Times online. He was laying on his stomach on a train platform, already submitting to the officers request after a fight between him and another civilian. Yet, one officer felt it necessary to fire a single shot into his

The Massive Confusion over Women Broken Down
By T. Bowen

This is not too difficult a topic to understand for many, other than men. As a black woman I have come to conclude the question marks over the psyche of a woman are not all that confusing, yet the topic needs to be broken down into simplicity measures. Trust, respect, monogamy and real love are all that many black women want in a black man. The other stuff is genuinely just an extra incentive.

The topic can be quite difficult at times for many black men, because for some reason they believe that we want a media built man. A man with a corporate job, who is capable of being sociable without infidelity, has an exceptional gift of gab
