Clarence Thomas, Whoopi Goldberg, Thomas Sowell, and White Fever Print E-mail
Written by A. Peter Bailey

In the ongoing campaign against the still powerful forces of white supremacy and racism, black people must be acutely aware of the disease known as white fever. Unfortunately, far too many of our people with varying levels of intensity have succumbed to this debilitating malady. Their condition is graphically reflected in the following statements by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, entertainer Whoopi Goldberg, and Professor Thomas Sowell. In his preSupreme Court days, Thomas was quoted in the very conservative, very Thomasloving Richmond TimesDispatch as saying ...if I ever went to work for the EEOC Equal Employment Opportunity Commission or did anything directly connected with blacks, my career would be irreparably ruined. The monkey would be on my back because Im black. People meeting me for the first time would automatically dismiss

President Bush is George of Arabia Print E-mail
Written by A. Peter Bailey
A few days ago while watching the movie, Lawrence of Arabia, for the first time since its release in the early 1960s; I was struck by the similarities of events in the Middle East in the early 1900s and what is happening today. In the movie, T.E. Lawrence, a British militarily officer, taking advantage of divisions among various factions of Arabs, help set the stage for the great Britain t become a dominant force in the Middle East. President Bush, taking advantage of similar, self-defeating division among the Arabs, is moving to make the U.S. the dominant force in the Middle East. Why else would this country be building the largest embassy in the world in Iraq? The key difference between Lawrence s efforts and Bush s is that in the four-hour long movie I don t recall ever hearing the words Islam or Muslim. It was all about Arabs. In Bush s case one practically never hears the word Arab. It s all about Islam or Muslim. The goal remains the same, however, people of European descent being the dominant force in the

President Bush: A Combination of Arrogance and Ignorance Print E-mail
Written by A. Peter Bailey

Some conservative propagandists have been praising President Bush for what they describe as his “remarkable” self-confidence as he plows on with his Iraq adventure. I beg to differ. What the President exhibits is not so-much self-confidence as one of the deadliest combinations that a leader can possess - - that of arrogance and ignorance. An abundance of either one of these poses a problem, but when combined, as they are with President Bush, havoc is usually the result. For instance, it is probable

Some conservative propagandists have been praising President Bush for what they describe as his remarkable selfconfidence as he plows ahead undaunted with his Iraq adventure I beg to differ. What the President exhibits is not so much selfconfidence, but instead the deadliest combination that a leader can possess: arrogance and ignorance. Either one would pose a problem, but when combined, as they are in Bush, havoc is the result. He was most likely completely ignorant of the existence of people known as Sunni and Shiite Muslims before he sent troops from

Quintessential White Supremacist Justice Print E-mail
Written by A. Peter Bailey

When first hearing about the then 17year old black male teenager being sentenced to 10 years in prison for a nonforced sexual encounter with a 15year old girl, my first reaction was that the girl must be white. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to know that there is no way that a Georgia court would give someone that kind of time for nonforced sex with a 15year old black girl. Dont get me wrong, I have a 15year old granddaughter and would be extremely angry at a 17year old male having nonforced sex with her but it would be near criminal for me to push for a tenyear prison
